Brass: Lancashire

The solo variant doesn't exist here, so it's strictly a 2+ player game, but those revised 2-player rules actually work great. The player mats keep the cotton industry cards organized and the new art is way nicer than the old edition I used to own.

Played this at three players and the revised rules finally make the map feel tight instead of lopsided. The new artwork on the cards is gorgeous, way better than the plain older look, and the components feel substantial in hand.

The new player mats actually make teaching this to my group way easier since everyone can see the cotton/coal income tracks at a glance. Two-player games finally feel balanced instead of like a watered-down version. The component quality alone justifies upgrading from my old copy.
